With harsh winter storms always part of island life, this button jacket was inspired by the workwear once made for men working outdoors in all weathers. The stylish extra layer of knit on the shoulders originates in patches designed for warmth and protection when carrying a currach and other fishing equipment; after every expedition the boat, gear and precious catch had to be hauled by hand to safety. Patch pockets and a standing collar add functionality and comfort. 100% super geelong merino wool for warmth without unnecessary weight and finished with real horn buttons.

Available in traditional navy Nocturne. Made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
