The Smush Crayon was created when the designer Todd Oldham accidentally left a box of crayons in the car all day, which resulted in them melting together and creating one big colorful crayon. The beautiful mess of colors in the MoMA Smush Crayons collection bears the colors of famous artworks. Crayon colors are based on Claude Monet's 'Water Lilies' (1919).
The colors of each Smush Crayon have been distilled down to a few hues, making the artworks more relatable and allowing users to engage with each one differently. Your kids will enjoy creating their own speckled masterpieces with it.
