L.B.M. 1911

L.B.M. 1911 is the contemporary voice of Lubiam, the Mantua tailoring house that has been synonymous with Made in Italy menswear for more than a century. Its name honours the company's origins: the initials of founder Luigi Bianchi and the city of Mantova, together with the year it all began. In 2005, Giovanni Bianchi, one of four siblings representing the family's fourth generation and director of Lubiam's style office, had a hunch that would redefine the business, and L.B.M. 1911 was born.

His idea was radical: to step away from purely formal dressing while holding firm to the principles of sartorial quality. The result is a brand perfectly balanced between tailoring and sportswear, which went on to specialise in garment-dyed clothing, pairing exclusive Italian-made craftsmanship with a spirit of constant research and innovation.

At the heart of it all is the jacket. Over the years, L.B.M. 1911 has destructured, deconstructed and streamlined this wardrobe essential, pioneering dyeing and washing treatments and artisanal ageing techniques that give each piece a lived-in character all its own.
