Paul & Shark

Paul & Shark's roots stretch back to the 1920s and a small Italian knitwear workshop, Maglificio Dacò, which soon became known for its artisanal mastery and quality. The workshop was later acquired by Gian Ludovico Dini, laying the foundations for a family business built on craftsmanship and expertise passed down through the generations.

The brand itself was born in 1976, thanks to a chance discovery. On a trip to Maine, Gian Ludovico's eldest son, Paolo Dini, came across an old working sail from the late 18th century bearing the words "Paul & Shark". Taking it as a sign of destiny, he adopted the name for a new brand based in Varese, inspired from the very beginning by the ocean and a true spirit of adventure.

Now led by the third generation, Paolo's son Andrea Dini, Paul & Shark has grown into one of Italy's most distinctive luxury brands, with a deep passion for the sea still at its heart. Guided by its philosophy of a "Sense of Journey", it blends artisanal know-how with technological innovation, using carefully selected materials and refined design to create timeless garments made to accompany their wearers on every voyage.
