Meyer Hosen

Meyer was founded in 1960 as a family business in Germany's Oberbergisches Land and has grown to become Europe's leading specialist in men's trousers. Still family-run today, the company combines handcrafted tradition with innovative thinking, creating trousers known for their modern fits, distinctive details and outstanding fabrics, all made fairly and sustainably in Europe.

Meyer's trousers are made in its own facilities in Târgu Secuiesc, a town in Romania's Transylvania region with a centuries-old tradition of craftsmanship. Each pair is assembled from around sixty pieces of cloth and some 380 metres of thread, and many steps are completed by hand in the spirit of bespoke tailoring, from the shaped contour waistband to hand-attached belt loops and shank buttons, giving every pair a semi-sartorial finish.

Quality and responsibility go hand in hand at Meyer. The brand works closely with European fabric suppliers, checking every fabric against its own strict standards and testing each one for shrinkage so that its fits keep their shape wash after wash. Since 2020 its cotton has been exclusively organic, with natural fibres favoured wherever possible, and as a socially committed family business it supports health, education and cultural projects both in Germany and in Romania.
