The rubber sole gives grip on a wet footpath and wears slowly. Goodyear welting stitches the upper to the welt rather than gluing it, which means the sole can be replaced when it wears through and the shoe kept going for years.

Expect a short break-in across the ball of the foot, after which the leather settles into the shape of your stride. The F fit is a standard width, so take your usual size.
