The driving shoe for the weekend: a penny loafer built on a moccasin construction, with the upper stitched around the foot by hand rather than over a rigid last, so it flexes with you from the first wear and needs no breaking in.

The rubber studs run up over the heel in the way driving shoes do, giving grip on a pedal and quiet footing on a tiled floor. The upper is pebble-grained calf, soft and matte, which hides a scuff far better than a polished leather.

Wear them with linen trousers on the Peninsula or with chinos on a long drive, with or without socks. They fit close like a slipper, so if you are between sizes take the smaller.
